Ainda sobre “Filosofia Continental”

A partir de um link do Daily Nous, encontrei um post que parte da discussão entre Chomsky e Zizek, na qual aquele teria desprezado este chamando-o de ” irracional”. Eu não me importo nem com Chomsky nem com Zizek. O que me interessou foi que, a partir da discussão, o autor do blog elaborou uma lista de supostas características da Filosofia Continental.

Algumas delas são extremamente vagas e equívocas (“pulsation between concept and image” ou “pluralist dialectics”), enganosas (cf. “reflexivity” e “hermeneutic pluralism”) e outras poderiam ainda ser atribuídas a qualquer tipo de expressão filosófica (como “creation of concepts” ou “thinking in problematics”). E isso mostra o quão complicado pode ser esse tipo de empreendimento.

O que talvez nos leve, uma vez mais, àquela que é a real questão de fundo: será que essa diferenciação (i.e. para com a Filosofia Analítica) é realmente clara e distinta como alguns desejariam que fosse?

    Eu construí esta lista para não defender Zizek, mas a filosofia Continental, Chomsky frequentemente atacados. São recursos intuitivos, fáceis de entender e reconhecer os escritos de pensadores como Deleuze, Badiou, Lyotard, Laruelle, e não apenas em Zizek.

      Dear Professor Blake,
      First of all, thank you so much for your vist and comment. I really appreciate your blog and your posts. I think you’ve got somehow “lost in translation”. I’ve mentioned Zizek (and Chomsky) in my paragraph only to introduce your list,saying the quarrel gave place to your thoughts and it was the reason for the list. I haven’t said your list was made in order to defend Zizek or whatever. Rather, I said that I don’t care about him (them) and that the list is THE thing.

      Then, I pointed out some topics from it and said that they are either equivocal or sometimes fit to any kind of philosophical expression or movement. Summing up, I’ very interested in these topics and I tend to agree with Friedman in seeing more unity than difference between Continentals and Analytics.
